The roots of Joseph’s sculptural practice stem from his fascination with the potential that everyday objects have to become something else. These works are evolved forms. They hold a memory of functional artefacts but also have an organic metamorphosis, growing into absolute forms that have their own rhythm and identity.
The materials he uses to create these abstracted and semi-abstracted volumetric sculptures are usually metals such as sheet steel, galvanised steel and/or copper. They vary in scale, and are suitable for domestic, gallery or corporate environments. Joe also makes site-specific pieces for the public realm. Please contact Joe if you are interested in purchasing or commissioning sculpture.
